The SolumKolia Breast Cancer Foundation (KISS Initiative)® is a non-profit organization solely dedicated to creating awareness and advocating for cancer prevention and early detection. Our mission is to save lives through cancer prevention and early detection for all populations. Our vision is to Change The Narratives and Stop Cancer Before It Starts! ®
About Founder
SolumKolia Obi was born 48years ago. SolumKolia graduated from London Metropolitan University with BSc (Hons) 2nd Class Upper in Computing. She went ahead to gain a Certificate in Legal Studies from Westminster University. SolumKolia acquired certifications in the Mary Seacole Leadership course with the NHS Leadership academy.
A passionate mother of one handsome dude. SolumKolia is a Service Development Manager within an NHS Trust. A seasoned caterer and passionate about culinary. In 2018, she has diagnosed with stage 3 Breast Cancer and as a result of that became a passionate advocate for creating Awareness, Educating, and Impacting lives through her NGO SolumKolia Breast Cancer Foundation. She is also an author of the book “Scarred but not Scared” currently selling on Amazon.
Impact so far
The Foundation reaches out to communities through programs and fundraising that allow us to fund community events. SBCF (KISS Initiative) has impacted about 400 women so far. We have also sponsored 8 sessions of chemotherapy.
Previous Events
Sponsored 8 cycles of chemotherapy
Supporting breast cancer patients and survivors is the core of our work at Solumkolia Breast Cancer Foundation. To this end, we have successfully sponsored 8 chemotherapy sessions for women living with breast cancer.
The Nnewi Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign
A 2 days awareness event for the people of Nnewi. During the event, the women were checked in various capacities which included; Height & Weight, Blood Sugar, Blood Pressure, Breast Screening, Counselling
The attendees shared opinions, thoughts and suggestions on the issue of health accessibility. the event was open to the public and approximately 130 women and schoolgirls were in attendance
